Baja Sardinia is a popular location set in the heart of the Emerald Coast, at 20 kms from Arzachena. Surrounded by unspoilt nature, Baja Sardinia has been worldwide famous for more than 50 years as a prestigious tourist destination especially among VIPs and jet-setters.
The beaches
-Cala Battistoni is set in Baja Sardinia, just a few steps away from the town centre and is characterised by crystal clear sea, white thin sand and tiny granite pebbles.
-La spiaggia Tre Monti: at just 2 kms from Baja Sardinia. The beach, set in a secluded position immersed in the Mediterranean bush, offers a shallow seabed and golden sand.
–Cala dei ginepri: is the closest beach to the Ea Bianca Residence, set at just 5 kms from the town centre. The beach can be reached through a path and it comprises two coves separated by rocks. Both are surrounded by lush vegetation, which makes them the perfect spot for visitors seeking privacy and tranquillity, especially during the high season.
–Capriccioli beach: beyond Porto Cervo, a few kilometres from Cala di Volpe, lies one of the best known beaches in the territory of Arzachena. Bordered by pink granite, this beach is made of two small coves, sheltered from the wind, famous for its shallow crystal clear sea.
-The beach of Liscia Ruja: located at 15 km from the Residence Ea Bianca, it is perhaps the largest beach along the Emerald Coast and stretches for more than 500 metres. The soft white sand gradually slopes down to the sea with colours ranging from light green to turquoise.
Facilities
Baja Sardinia is the perfect spot for all kinds of water sports: its seabed is ideal for snorkelling, diving and underwater fishing. Some beaches are favourably ventilated, and for this reason there are several surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing schools located along the coast.
The Aquadream water park is close to Baja Sardinia: it is perfect for families or for anyone wishing to spend a fun-filled day out. The Pista dei Campioni go-kart track is only 5 km from Residence Ea Bianca, offering thrilling races.
In the area of Arzachena it is also possible to go trekking or on horeseback following the routes that lead to the villages of Tre Monti and Forte Cappellini.
Moreover, several boat excursions to La Maddalena Archipelago depart from the marina of Baja Sardinia.
Baja Sardinia is also the perfect spot for revellers looking for a memorable holiday. The Phi Beach, with its seafront terraces, is one of the most popular and trendiest venues on the Emerald Coast together with the Ritual, a dancing club built inside a natural grotto that looks like a castle carved into the rock.
Traditional dishes
The dishes of the culinary tradition definitely deserve a taste: the Zuppa gallurese (a bread soup with meat broth and covered with cheese), Li Chiusoni (fresh handmade gnocchi), i Fascjoli and Taddarini (a thick soup with beans and tagliatelle), Lu Casgiu Furriatu, (grilled cheese with cream and served with honey), Li Niuleddi and Li Acciuleddi (typical pastries).
The traditional restaurants serve also all the typical Sardinian dishes, such as roasted suckling pig, culurgiones and seadas, but also fish dishes paired with the excellent Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, a white wine produced in this area of Sardinia.
